Chad Newman and Chris Benningfield defeated Jerry Key and Shaun Padgett in the championship of the Shooter's Showdown II tournament. Chad and Chris made it all the way through the winner's bracket by defeating Luther "Jack" Rice and Mike Rice. Luther and Mike were sent to the loser's bracket to play Shaun and Jerry to try and stay alive. In a tough contest, Shaun and Jerry won and was the only team left remaining to try and slow down Chad and Chris. Shaun and Jerry put up a great fight and won match one, but was defeated in match two, rather convincingly. Other teams of note were, Steve Adams and Mike Roy, from Ohio, and Stacy Ritter and Chuck McDonald, from Bedford, IN. Chad and Chris are quickly becoming a big time team and is going to be trouble for anyone that comes their way in the future.

A big thank you to all the teams that came out and made the tournament such a good time. You guys are the best and I appreciate your loyalty to ACO Louisville events.

The ACO Is The Governing Body For The Sport Of Cornhole

Players from all over came to Shooter's to win the singles tournament, but in the end it was Chad Newman from right here in Louisville, KY that took the title. Chad has been the talk of a lot of players from around the area as a player that is moving up quickly as one of the top players around. Chad never lost a match in the tournament and defeated the always tough and solid Keith Blair in the finals. In the championship, Chad jumped out to a lead and never looked back. Keith was not able to do anything to slow Chad down and the match was over quickly. Taking third place in the tournament was Shaun Padgett from Bedford, IN. Shaun is a good, young player that will be tough to handle the more tournament experience he gets under his belt. Coming in fourth place was Luther Rice. Luther was defeated by Keith Blair in the loser's bracket, but put on a good showing all day. Overall, it was a good turnout of some great people and pretty darn good cornholers as well. ACO Louisville appreciate you all and hope that you continue to look for upcoming ACO Louisville events.
